Additional Supplemental/Voluntary Benefits
Reminder: Your current Supplemental/Voluntary Benefit elections from 2025 will remain intact. However, you will be given the opportunity to make any changes to these Supplemental/Voluntary Benefits while in the online open enrollment process. So if you wish to make any changes, the open enrollment period is the time to do so.
Whole Life Insurance
Whole Life insurance provides a benefit to your beneficiaries if you pass away, but it can also build cash value that you can utilize while you are still alive. You can have the added financial protection you and your family may need during times of uncertainty. Coverage can be secured without a physical exam! Premiums are locked in at the age of policy effective date.
Coverage options are available for you, your spouse, and/or your child(ren) and grandchild(ren).
Term Life Insurance
Term Life insurance provides a benefit for your beneficiaries if you pass away during a designated period of time or the policy term. Helping to ensure your family can maintain financial security and meet financial obligations, this insurance allows an individual to buy high levels of coverage for a relatively small initial premium.
Coverage is available for you, your spouse, and/or your child(ren). The coverage is portable; if you change jobs or retire and are under the age of 70, you may keep your coverage and pay similar to the group rate. You would pay your premiums directly to the insurance company.
Accident Insurance
Designed to supplement your employer-sponsored health coverage, Accident insurance pays specific benefit amounts for expenses resulting from non-work-related injuries or accidents. Hospitalization, physical therapy, intensive care, transportation, and lodging are some of the out-of-pocket expenses that may be covered.
Coverage is available for you, your spouse, and/or your child(ren).
Short Term Disability Insurance
This income protection policy helps replace 60% of your salary, up to $1,150, should you experience an off-the-job injury or illness. Following a 14-day elimination period, coverage is effective for 26 weeks. The plan pays monthly benefits in the event of sickness and off-the-job accidents.
As with most Short-Term Disability plans, EOI is required for late entrants.
Long Term Disability Insurance
This benefit offers financial protection for you if you become disabled and can no longer work. If you become fully disabled, you will receive 60% of your income, up to $2,500 monthly, after you have satisfied a 180-day waiting period. Coverage is effective for 2 years.
If appropriate, this plan will also help you return to work. There is a pre-existing condition limitation included on the Long-Term Disability plan.
Group Critical Illness Insurance
Critical Illness insurance provides you with a lump-sum benefit upon the diagnosis of certain medical conditions, including heart attack, stroke, kidney failure, major organ transplant, permanent paralysis, or cancer. You do not have to be terminally ill to receive benefits. Benefits are paid regardless of medical expenses incurred, and the check is issued directly to you.
Coverage is available for you, your spouse, and/or your child(ren). A Health Screening Benefit Rider is available and provides the insured with a calendar year benefit when certain health screening tests are performed.
Identity Protection
Your Identity belongs to you, so protect it today. Enjoy peace of mind, financial reassurance, and time-saving expertise with Allstate’s comprehensive identity and credit monitoring, credit scores and reports, social media reputation, wallet protection, financial transaction monitoring, and data breach notifications. All this plus access to Allstate Footprint, which is a tool that helps you see, control, and protect your online data, and a $1,000,000 Identity Theft Insurance policy.
Hospital Indemnity Insurance
Hospital Indemnity insurance is designed to help provide financial protection for covered individuals by paying a benefit due to hospitalization. Employees can use the benefit to meet the out-of-pocket expenses and extra bills that can occur. Indemnity lump sum benefits are paid directly to the insured based on the amount of coverage listed, regardless of the actual cost of treatment.
All of these Supplemental/Voluntary benefits are conveniently payroll deducted while you are employed by CPC.
And the Accident, Critical Illness, Hospital Indemnity, and Whole Life benefits are portable which means you can keep them if you retire or leave the company.
